Terms of Service
Effective
Draft: this document is still under review and may change before TrailGlow launches.
These terms cover your use of TrailGlow, the app that helps you record and follow a blood trail. Using TrailGlow means you agree to them. TrailGlow is made by Everwood Ventures LLC.
1.Using TrailGlow
Your phone, your tracks. TrailGlow works on your phone without an account. Tracks, pins and photos stay on it unless you sign in to back them up.
You must be at least 13 to use the app.
2.Subscriptions and trials
TrailGlow is a subscription, yearly or monthly, sold through the App Store or Google Play. New subscribers may get a free trial; when it ends, the subscription starts and you're charged unless you cancelled before it ended.
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Apple and Google handle payments and refunds under their own terms. When a subscription ends, your tracks stay readable and exportable; starting or resuming a track needs a subscription.
3.Detection is an aid
The glow marks colors that look like blood. Red leaves, red clay and other things can glow, and some blood, dried or diluted, may not. The glow shows you where to look; it never tells you what something is. Always look for yourself.
4.Hunt legally and safely
Follow the hunting and trespass laws where you hunt, and get permission before you follow a trail onto someone else's land. TrailGlow doesn't show property lines. It isn't a navigation or safety device: carry what you need to find your way and stay safe.
5.Your content
Your tracks, pins, notes and photos are yours. If you back them up, you let us store them to provide the backup, and nothing else.
6.Acceptable use
Don't misuse TrailGlow: don't break the law with it, interfere with it or our servers, or try to get around the subscription.
7.Disclaimers
TrailGlow is provided as is. GPS, maps and detection can be wrong, and a phone can run out of battery or lose signal. We don't promise the app will always be available or error-free.
8.Liability
To the extent the law allows, Everwood Ventures LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using TrailGlow, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
9.Ending
You can stop using TrailGlow and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
10.Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters to you, we'll say so in the app before the change applies.
